Defending champion Vijay is two shots behind the leaders at the $5 million Houston Open as per the latest reports. The leader during the third round was Australia’s Gavin Coles who is leading by a singe shot over the challengers Britain’s Greg Owen and American Jeff Maggert.
Coles was a little known face last year when he played in the PGA’s minor league’s on the Nationwide Tour. This tour on the other has been a revelation with Coles playing incredible golf looking nowhere startled by the fact that he is leading the world leading golfers like Vijay Sigh.
The tournament being played at the Redstone Golf Club saw Gavin going head-to-head against the Tour’s big stars. Vijay Singh had the lead in the first round where he equaled the course record of eight under 64. Since than he is struggling a bit with his form with the other players in the game taking lead over him.
