Will the win at Masters reignite Tiger’s Fire?

Tiger Woods has been silence since a long time. However, the victory at the Augusta Masters just might reignite the fire, which may take him on another dream run. He had an excellent 2002 year when he at one time held all the four majors and many other tournaments, which formed the US PGA Tour.

The victory would help Woods in regaining the passion and the confidence after a disappointing run of tournaments with his last major success coming way back at the US Open in 2002. Golfing great Jack Nicklaus had predicted long time back that Tiger would break all records in winning the Masters. And at the age of 29, the American already has four in his name.

Tiger now has nine career major tournaments victories. The competitors say that they had little doubt that the tiger would be back doing what he does best… winning comprehensively. Ryder Cup captain Tom Lehman who came 13th at the Masters said: “Now that he’s won, the talk will be of how many green jackets he’s going to win. Is he going to win eight, 10? It’s a very fickle thing, the perception of the media and the fans. He’d already proven to me when he won at (Buick Invitational) this year when he was less than at his best. He’s the best competitor out here.”

As for Woods, he could only say: “This is one tournament I love watching. It’s 100 times more fun playing it, but I still like to watch it, like I’ve been doing since I was 8 years old.”
